Admission Process
We believe the best way to understand all of the wonderful things McKinney Academy has to offer is to attend an Open House. Hearing, seeing and understanding what the Academy has to offer will allow you to make a decision that will best fit you and your family.
McKinney Academy schedules Admission Open House Presentations January through Marchl in the evening and during the school day at McKinney Academy, 412 Armour Street, Davidson, N.C..
- Parents are encouraged to attend Open House dates without children.
- We strongly encourage you attend one of our scheduled Admission Open House dates. If you are unable to attend a scheduled Admissions Open House, please contact our office for other scheduling options.
- Kindergarten classroom observations are scheduled beginning in January. The classroom observations can be scheduled following the initial application submission.
In order to have your child considered for enrollment at McKinney Academy, please adhere to the following steps:
- Rising Kindergarten Parents Please Note: If you are a parent of a rising kindergarten student, please contact the Admissions Office at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to schedule a Kindergarten Readiness Assessment prior to submitting the $80.00 (eighty dollar) non-refundable application/re-enrollment fee.* A Kindergarten Readiness Assessment is required. The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment Fee is $50.00. This non-refundable fee is due the day of testing. After this testing is complete, please inquire about submission of the $80.00 (eighty dollar) non-refundable application/re-enrollment fee.*
- Begin the application process by submitting the McKinney Academy initial on-line application form at this link: http://www.mckinneyacademy.com/admissions/online-admission.html along with the Application Fee of $80.
- Once you complete the initial on-line application form, you will receive email information with an overview of the application/enrollment process.
- On-line links to an additional enrollment form will be provided as indicated. Any additional required information will be provided by mail/email.
- Please confirm transcripts from the current school and teacher recommendation forms completed by the teacher are sent to McKinney Academy in a timely manner. In order to complete the enrollment process, this important information is needed.
